What's Inside the NEW ZEALAND DANCER Magazine
The March 2008 Issue of the New Zealand Dancer Magazine features a cover page photograph of our very own Joel Gallarde, director of TRiPLe8Funk Dance Company. The feature article written by David Hayward investigates "Does Hip Hop deserve a Bad Rap?" It talks about the general public's view on Hip Hop dance in New Zealand and the reputation it automatically gets associated with. It also explores some of the opinions from people in the dance industry and what they think about it all.
This issue also writes about other interesting stories in the New Zealand dance world such as: "The Next Step" - a book that asks 'are you ready to take-off overseas with dancing', "Do You Have What It Takes To Be A Cheerleader" - a sneak peak inside the auditions of the Vodafone Cheerleaders, "Jambalaya" - photos of this extravagant festival in January, also write ups on international Hip Hop / street dance superstars Skye Hoffman and Swoop who both did workshops in Auckland, and much much more...
